After winning a gold medal in the women's 4x400 meter final, Allyson Felix broke the record set by Carl Lewis and became the most decorated American track and field athlete in history. Her medals

Allyson Felix (American track and field athlete) is From 2003 to 2013, she competed primarily in the 200 meter sprint, but she eventually switched to the 400 m sprint later in her career. She competed in the 100 meter, 4x100 and 4x400 meters relays.

Her daughter

Camryn Felix, Allyson's daughter was born seven weeks earlier than expected on November 28, 2018. Camryn weighed in at three pounds and eight ounces. She spent almost a month on the neonatal intensive hospital (NICU). Thankfully, she is doing well, and she and her husband have been promoting maternal health and better maternity protections in athlete contracts ever since.

Her struggles with maternity leave

Allyson Felix, Olympic gymnast, recently spoke out about her struggles with maternity leave during an interview with FOS. This interview was conducted at the Title IX anniversary summit. Olympic champion Allyson is leading an initiative to ensure there is child care available at the U.S. Championships. This partnership includes sponsor Athleta as well as nonprofit &Mother. The new program gives parents the opportunity to care for their children while athletes compete.
