While women are often forgotten in the running world, a few of them have made a significant impact. Rita Jeptoo won the Boston and Chicago marathons in 2013, and 2014. For using EPO, she was later barred from competing for four more years. Chebet was defeated by Agnes Jebet Tirop when she was a teenager.

Keira D'Amato

Keira D’Amato, famous female runner has an amazing story. She's an athlete with a busy life, a full-time job in Real Estate and a running side-gig. Last year, she set a new American marathon record, knocking 24 seconds off Deena Kastor's record, which stood since 2006. Keira, who is only 37 years old, is already an established athlete. However, she began her career as a hobby jogger. After graduating from American University, Keira D'Amato got into Real Estate, had two children and competed in the 2020 U.S. Olympic Trials.

Paula Jane Radcliffe

Paula Jane Radcliff a prominent female runner has achieved international success at long-distance running events. She is a three-time champion of the London Marathon and the New York Marathon and was the 2002 Chicago Marathon winner. She has also won several other events.

Helene de Pourtales

Helene de Pourtales, a famous female runner in the 1900 Olympics, was born and raised in New York. She was the only child of a wealthy tobacco family. Isaac Barbey, her father, established the tobacco empire. Helene's mother was a Lolliard, from France. Helene was a natural athlete and soon married Hermann Alexandre de Pourtales. He was a member the old Huguenot clan. The couple had three girls. Helene got her love for horses from the maternal side of her family.


Allison Stokke

Allison Stokke is a famous female runner, pole vaulter and athlete. She was born in Newport Beach (California) and is white. She graduated from Newport Harbor High School. After graduation, she studied at the University of California. Stokke set many records and excelled at both school's sports, including pole vaulting. Stokke advocates for healthy food and encourages others.

Tia-Clair Toomey

Tia-Claire Toomey, a famous female runner, has been one the most successful athletes in the past year. She's the face and model of female fitness. Her results speak for themselves each time she competes. She won the 2022 NOBULL XFit Games. Toomey returned stronger after a tough start to the competition and led the contest until the end.

Allison Baver

Allison Baver was a former U.S. Olympian and announced her retirement from competitive running Monday. She has been an Olympian three time, her first being in 2002, when the U.S. women's 3000m relay squad in Salt Lake City featured her as an alternate. In addition, Allison has competed in the 2006 Torino Winter Games and the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games, where she finished third in the 3000m relay. Allison suffered a devastating injury in 2009 when her right ankle was broken and her leg was fractured in a fall with a friend. This occurred one year prior to her expected participation at the Vancouver Olympics in 2010.
