The LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program provides an opportunity for young girls to learn golf and develop a positive self-esteem while participating in golf competitions. As the only national developmental golf program geared specifically towards young girls, the program aims to inspire and promote positive self-esteem, life skills, and the enjoyment of the sport.
LPGA USGA Girls Golf Program was created to allow girls to have fun and develop friendships with other girls. It offers juniors free practice balls regardless of their financial circumstances. Schools and youth organizations can receive coupons that allow them to play at participating Rocky Mountain PGA courses.

Program builds confidence and perseverance
LPGA Foundation and USGA Girls Golf were founded the LPGA-USGA Girls Golf program in 1989. The goal of the program is to teach young girls important life skills while playing golf. Along with the skills of playing golf, the program helps develop interpersonal skills, self management, goal-setting, conflict resolution as well as community service.
Girls between the ages six and seventeen can participate in this program. LPGA Professional Wendy Kern gives instruction to participants on golf. Participants also get nutrition and exercise sessions. The program meets every Saturday from 9:00am to 12:00pm. It's free to girls and they will provide snacks as well as golf clubs. Girls can bring their own clubs with them to the sessions.

Girls Golf is a national initiative led by the LPGA Foundation and USGA and is a non-profit 501(C)(3) junior golf program for girls.
