
While women are often overlooked when it comes to running, there have been a few who have made an impact in the sport. Rita Jeptoo won the Boston and Chicago marathons in 2013, and 2014. After using EPO, Rita Jeptoo was later banned from competing in the Boston and Chicago marathons for four years. Chebet was later succeeded by Agnes Jebet Tirop (a teenager) in the 2015 IAAF World Cross.

Keira D'Amato, a famous female runner, has an unusual story. She's an athlete with a busy life, a full-time job in Real Estate and a running side-gig. Keira broke Deena's marathon record by 24 seconds in the US last year. Keira, who is only 37 years old, is already an established athlete. However, she began her career as a hobby jogger. Keira Da'Amato, who graduated from American University in 2005, went into Real Estate after having two children.
Paula Jane Radcliffe
Famous female runner Paula Jane Radcliff has achieved international success in the long-distance running events. She is a three time champion of the London Marathon, the New York Marathon, and the 2002 Chicago Marathon winner. She has also won many other events.
Helene de Pourtales
Helene de Pourtales, a famous female runner in the 1900 Olympics, was born and raised in New York. She was the daughter of a wealthy tobacco family. Her father, Isaac Barbey, founded the tobacco empire, and her mother was a Lolliard from France. Helene was a natural at running and soon married Hermann Alexandre de Pourtales (a Huguenot ancestor). The couple had three girls. Helene was a descendant of her maternal grandmother, who inherited her passion for horses.
Allison Stokke
Allison Stokke is a famous female runner, pole vaulter and athlete. She was born Newport Beach, California. She graduated from Newport Harbor High School. After graduation, she studied at the University of California. Stokke set many records and excelled at both school's sports, including pole vaulting. Stokke advocates for healthy food and encourages others.
Tia-Clair Toomey
Tia-Claire Toomey, a famous female runner, has been one the most successful athletes in the past year. She is the face for female fitness. Her results are impressive every time she competes. She won the 2022 NOBULL XFit Games. Toomey was stronger than ever and continued to lead the competition even after a difficult start.
Allison Baver
Allison Baver was a former U.S. Olympian and announced her retirement from competitive running Monday. She was an Olympian twice, the first time in 2002 when she participated as an alternate on the U.S. women’s relay team of 3000m in Salt Lake City. In addition, Allison has competed in the 2006 Torino Winter Games and the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games, where she finished third in the 3000m relay. Allison was tragically injured in 2009 when she broke her right leg and ankle in a collision with a fellow teammate. This happened one year before she was scheduled to compete in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics.
