After a sloppy first half against Sweden, Spain showed signs of life against the USA and a more physical style against Sweden. The US's lack of finishing was noted, but Jenni Hermoso's laser-perfect shot leveled the score in the ninth minute. In the second half, physicality was more even with Spain failing several penalties and yellow cards. Megan Rapinoe used the opportunity to flag Spain for a soft foul in the 76th minute. In the last 15 minutes, the US's physical condition was clearly evident.
La Roja's performance against the USA
La Roja's performance against America was eye-opening. The U.S. WNT never conceded in eight consecutive competitive games and outscored their opponent 44-0. Despite the United States' excellent goal-scoring record the Spaniards seem stronger. They're a dangerous side, capable of applying pressure to the inexperienced U.S. back line and goalkeeper. Their last two goals, both of which were scored by Megan Rapinoe, have been frustrating for La Roja.

They were formed against South Africa
Spain started their match against South Africa as a 4-3-3 team. With their wide attackers taking up half-spaces and making space for their fullbacks, Spain used a 4-3-3 structure. South Africa had few opportunities to counterattack due to the compact midfield. Except for a few excellent efforts by Amanda Mthandi, Kgatlana and Kgatlana, the goals were scored by the Spanish attacking midfielders.
Their away kit against South Africa
The Springboks last wore a red-change jersey against Argentina in 2017. They also wore one in blue against Ireland in September 2017, wearing a replica of their first ever rugby jersey against the Irish. Asics created the red away jersey as a promotional product. It featured the Springboks and Blitzboks wearing all the colours of South Africa's flag. In the Sevens series, they also wore greens and blacks.
Their performance against Sweden
Sweden defeated Germany 2-1 at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2019 quarter-finals. Sweden won the quarter-final and will now face France, Germany or France in the final at Wembley. The Swedish team overcame Germany's backline with their athleticism, and the game-winning goal in 48 minutes sealed victory for the hosts. Sweden won the European Championships 1984 on penalties.

Their knockout round match with Germany
The Spaniards have been playing in outstanding form since Alexia Putellas's injuries in the previous game. Germany has been a force in this tournament, winning their last game. The hosts are still in good form and will be aiming for a spot in the knockout round. Germany has however lost Marie-Antoinette Kathoto to injury while France has been struggling to find its feet in this tournament.
