Liz Carmouche is an American mixed martial arts fighter who is openly lesbian. She is currently Bellator Womens Flyweight World Champ and has fought in various weight divisions for Bellator. Prior to joining Bellator as a fighter, she competed at flyweight and women's bantamweight for the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

Carmouche took the fight to the champion round with an opportune knockdown. She then launched a barrage from her dominant position, landing a barrage ground-and-pound. However, her fight ended prematurely with referee Mike Beltran stepping in and calling a halt to the fight. This is a significant win for Carmouche, who is now 4-0 in the Bellator cage. Velasquez, who had been unbeaten in the past, won this fight. This win ends Velasquez’s run as the Bellator flyweight champion.

After a stunning victory over former world champion Juliana Velasquez in Round Four, Liz Carmouche is now 4-0 in the Bellator cage. She was also awarded the Bellator flyweight champion. The victory was part of Bellator278's main event and it concluded just 4:47 into round four. It was the first occasion Carmouche beat Velasquez. Velasquez was previously unbeaten at professional MMA.

Liz Carmouche has been a professional wrestler as well as an ambassador for Medical Marijuana Inc. She has been admired and praised for being the first openly gay UFC fighter. Even Dana White has expressed admiration for her coming out.

She was raised in Okinawa on a military base

Liz Carmouche is the daughter of an Air Force pilot. She grew up at Okinawa's military base. Her dad was posted there in the Air Force, and her mother remarried there. She graduated in 2003 from a Christian high school. She now studies at San Diego City College and plans to become A kinesiologist.
