The Chicago Red Stars will face the Washington Spirit in the 2021 NWSL championship on Saturday, November 20. The match will be broadcast live on CBS Television Network, and international streams on Paramount+ or Twitch. The game is set to take place at noon ET in Louisville, Kentucky, and both teams will be aiming to win the league title for the first time.

San Diego Wave FC leads 2022 regular-season standings

San Diego Wave FC is now leading the NWSL regular season standings with three wins from their first three matches. The team defeated Houston Dynamo by 4-1 on April 27th, and the Chicago Red Stars by 2-1 on May 7. Kaleigh and Alex Morgan scored two goals each in the Waves' victory over the Chicago Red Stars 2-1.


Courage wins twice for Jessica McDonald

Jessica McDonald, Courage's player, scored two goals against Portland Thorns. Lynn Williams crossed the ball high into the box and Debinha one-touched it inside to McDonald, who headed the ball into the left side of the net. This goal is McDonalds' 50th career goal. The Courage won the league title and is now on the verge to make it long-distance playoff runs.

Trinity Rodman scores for Thorns

Trinity Rodman, who has scored three goals in each of the Thorns' matches, is now a major point of attack for the team. Her contributions to the U.S. national team system have been extensive over the years. She helped her country win CONCACAF under-20 title last March. Rodman was the star of the night, creating three opportunities. She was integral to the team's playmaking. She was a star on the defensive side with nine recoveries, an intercept and three tackles.

Wave FC: Kailen sheridan makes seven career saves

Kailen Sheridan, Wave FC goalkeeper, saves a penalty for the seventh time in her career. Sheridan stopped three shots from San Diego and saved two more. The Wave lost 2-1 to the Kansas City Current on Sunday. Amirah Ali scored Wave’s 88th-minute goal. Makenzy Donatiak assisted Ali. Kansas City scored a penalty kick by CeCeKizer in the 27th minute to take the lead.

Alyssa Makutz leaves the league

Alyssa Makutz announced on Tuesday that she was leaving the NWSL and said it was time to move forward. The Chicago Red Stars defender had been with the team since 2003. Mautz announced her retirement on Tuesday. This move will likely create a void within the league which has had a difficult time with transfer activity in recent years. Alyssa Mautz, the league's top goal scorer, had 16 goals and eight assists over her 10-year tenure.
