Spain displayed signs of life after a slow start against Sweden and adopted a more physical approach against Sweden. The US's inability to finish was well-reported, but JenniHermoso scored a brilliant goal that tied the score at nine minutes. After the first half, the physicality levelled out with Spain failing convert many penalties and yellow cards. Megan Rapinoe scored a goal for Spain in the 76th minutes. The US's fitness level was best shown in the last 15 minute.
La Roja's performance at the USA
La Roja's performance versus the United States was eye-opening. The U.S. WNT hadn't conceded a goal for eight consecutive competitive matches, and outscored their rivals 44-0. The Spaniards' goal-scoring record is impressive, but they have grown stronger. They are a dangerous and capable side, capable of applying pressure on the inexperienced U.S. goalkeeper. Their last two goals, both of which were scored by Megan Rapinoe, have been frustrating for La Roja.

They formed them against South Africa
Spain started their match against South Africa using a 4-3-3 system. This allowed their wide attackers to occupy the half-spaces while creating space for their fullbacks. South Africa was unable to counterattack because the midfield was very compact. With the exception to a few great efforts by Amanda Mthandi or Kgatlana, the main goal-scoring midfielders in Spain were the ones responsible.
Their away kit in South Africa
Red change jerseys were worn by the Springboks last time they played against Argentina in 2017. They also wore one blue jersey against Ireland in September 2017. This was a replica of their first ever Rugby jersey against the Irish. Asics created the red away jersey as a promotional product. It featured the Springboks and Blitzboks wearing all the colours of South Africa's flag. In the Sevens series, they also wore greens and blacks.
Their performance against Sweden
Sweden defeated Germany 2-1 in the quarterfinals of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2019. Sweden secured a place at the final, and will be facing either France or Germany at Wembley. The Swedish team used its athleticism to defeat Germany's backline and won the game with their goal in the 48th. Sweden won the European Championships 1984 on penalties.

Their knockout round match against Germany
The Spaniards are in great form since Alexia Putellas was injured in their previous game. Germany also won their last game and has been a consistent force in the tournament. The hosts are still in good form and will be aiming for a spot in the knockout round. Germany has however lost Marie-Antoinette Kathoto to injury while France has been struggling to find its feet in this tournament.
