
The WNBA basketball seasons have begun and we now have access to the WNBA statistics. Standings aren't able to measure individual player performance but we can make predictions using historical data. You might be surprised at some of these numbers. Here are some of the most important stats from the WNBA.
Leslie participated in the WNBA
Leslie McLaughlin became the first woman to invest in a WNBA franchise. She is a successful author and public speaker. She was a pioneer in innovation, consistency, perfection and perseverance. Leslie has been an inspiration to both women and men in basketball. Leslie has also worked as a model, appearing in numerous commercials.
Sabrina Ionescu became WNBA's first player to reach 30-point triple-double
Ionescu was the first player in WNBA history with 30 points and a triple-double last season. She is also the first WNBA athlete to achieve double-doubles during three seasons. She also strengthened her strength and speed in the offseason to prepare for the 2022 seasons. She had undergone an ankle injection before training camp began and felt she was ready to play. She wasn't a rookie anymore, and had yet to meet her teammates and her new place.

Kelsey Plum leads Liberty in assists per game
Following an incredible season last year Kelsey Plum is set to lead the Liberty's assists per-game this season. The 5-foot-8 guard has averaged 5.4 assists per game to lead the team. It's not hard to see her impressive stats, as she leads league with 19.6 points per match. Alyssa is also tied for first in assists, and they are both tied for third. Plum was the first player to appear in the WNBA All-Star Game. She earned MVP honors, and she set a new record with 12 threes.
Parker's injury history
DeVante Peterson, the 14th overall pick in the rookie season of the Miami Dolphins, became a wide receiver. After injuring himself during a practice, he was out for half of the season. Parker had to have surgery on his foot, and missed seven games. His injury history was a significant problem, especially when he started his NFL career. Parker tore the scar tissue on his left foot from surgery, and missed three preseason games.
WNBA standings
It is never too soon to begin looking at the WNBA standings. Six teams will participate in the playoffs which start on Aug. 17th. The Chicago Sky Aces and Las Vegas Aces already hold the first two seedings. The Sun, Mystics and Dream are now in contention for the fourth- and fifth seeds. In addition, a number of other teams are in the mix, including the New York Liberty, Dallas Wings, and Los Angeles Sparks.
Ionescu's triple-double
Triple-double by Ionescu was a landmark for the WNBA. She scored 31 points, grabbed 13 rebound and handed out 10 assists in the 116 -98 victory against the Las Vegas Aces. It's impressive enough that her triple-double was not a mistake, but it is even more remarkable that she didn’t turnover a ball. Ionescu is the first player to ever record a triple-double in the WNBA, which is a first for the league.
