U.S. women’s soccer team vs. Chile
Interesting matchup: The U.S. women’s soccer team faces Chile. The teams have met once before, in fall 2018, and both games ended in a USA win. The United States is also defending champion in Women's World Cup. It's expected that Chile will face a tough test. Each team has good players, but the U.S. team overall is stronger.

Christiane Endler is the goalkeeper
The United States Women's National Team won 2-0 against Chile in Tuesday's World Cup opening match. Carli and Julie Lloyd each scored, and the USWNT are now 3-0-0 against Chile. On goal differential, the USWNT leads Group F and will face Sweden on Thursday. The USWNT is expected to win the match. They will also be looking to extend their winning streak.
Start lineup
What players will be playing in the Women's Soccer USA match against Chile? The United States will look to continue their unbeaten streak in the group stage but a win against Chile could be vital for their Olympic dreams. Currently ranked fourth in the world, the U.S. has won 20 of its 38 matches. Their last match against Sweden was won 66 to 38. They were dominant in possession and scored twice in the first quarter, but they only saw the ball 28% of their match. The USA never faltered despite having only seven stars at the start of the match. Carli Lloyd was able to score two goals and miss a third.
Disputes between USWNT and FIFA
While the U.S. soccer dispute with FIFA has been simmering over time, it is finally coming up to a head. A lawsuit was filed for the benefit of U.S. football players four months before Women's World Cup. Players claim that they receive less pay than men and have not been given equal work conditions.
Players who have 200 caps or more
Becky Sauerbrunn, who has now reached 200 caps, will become the 12th player in USWNT's history. She will also make history as the fourth defender ever to reach this milestone. She will be the fourth defender to achieve this feat, just a few short months after the Dutch captain. She is two years away from the moment when a certain player was able to captained the U.S. nation team for her 100th cap celebration.

Endler's denial to Press
Christen Press teed up Lindsey Horan for the U.S. goal, but Endler came out of her goal and denied her tap-in. Press's strike would have given Chile the lead, but Endler made a world-class save. She has an extraordinary instinct and is capable of making incredible saves. The game's highlight was the 68th minute save.
